About this sitter
I'm John, Australian born and father of six, who are now grown and have flown the nest. So I'm exploring the world! I like to see the countryside as well as the cities and find housesitting offers a time to settle and relax in between travelling. I am very neat and tidy and will look after your house and animals as if they were my own. I own my own house in Australia, so do understand how important it is to look after yours well.

I enjoy having a base during my travels and housesitting offers a time of normality between bouts of sightseeing.

I am experienced. I have looked after houses, with and without animals, in Australia and France .... so far.
What can they bring to the assignment
I am extremely neat and tidy. I can also fix almost any problem that arises during my time in your house, eg general handyman. I do all the maintenance at my own house and vehicles.
I will carefully follow your instructions for looking after your pets and will treat them as if they were my own.

Amazing housesitter and lovely guy
John answered my (as always) last minute posting to come and look after my two cats and house whilst I was away on holiday. He arrived the day before, and we had a lovely evening of chatting and food. He is someone who is very clearly very comfortable with a lot more responsibility that I was leaving him with - which was reassuring. I only requested the cats be fed and given some basic company, the plants watered, and the house not burned down. But John did WAY more than that! It was almost embarrassing (in fact, it was! ;-) ). He fixed things that I'd not either known how to do, or got around to. This involved DIY stuff and garden stuff. His communication was excellent, and he very sweetly left the house with a great deal of vegan food in the fridge. I can't recommend him highly enough as a house and pet sitter. He is independent, reliable, capable, and super friendly!
