About this sitter

Hello my name is Divine and I'm from Austin. I have been going back and forth between cities and looking to finally settle down in Houston. I work as a health coach, I work usually a 40 hour work week or less. My job may require me to be out 3 to 5 hours at a time.

I like to describe myself as an introvert with extrovert tendencies. I usually spend my weekend working on side projects, biking, and jogging. I like to cook but not a lot, just like meal prep, bulk meals.

I am hoping to find a house sit that is flexible, friendly, long-term or short-term, and would like to keep communication as open as possible. I am open to walking pets, feeding, disposing of pet waste, watering plants, and doing laundry, checking mail, and running errands for the house and pets.

Why they want to house sit

I want to house-sit because I believe it will provide a mutual opportunity for me to settle in a city that I would like to stay in as long as possible. While helping out a family that wants to make sure their home is in good hands as well as their furry loved ones.

Their experience

My past experience has mostly been with patients who have had pets. I have helped patient's as a caregiver take care of their pets and also attend to their needs around the house. I have taken care of both cats and dogs.

What can they bring to the assignment

I am hoping to adapt my background in caregiving to a new setting. And expand my caregiving skills to pets. As a caregiver, we know it can be confusing time and patients can experience loneliness. It gives a caregiver purpose to bring some joy and comfort into the lives of people who may not have family around. Even though it may be challenging sometimes, we know our role in these people's lives has meaning. The appreciation is mutual by way of them saying thank you, a hug, or sometimes sharing their dessert. :-) I think I can apply all that loving energy, and care to my future furry friends' home as well.
