About this sitter
Robert and I are born travelers who equally enjoy the hustle and bustle of urban locations along with the peace and quiet of rural escapes. Collectively we've been on 5 continents, traversed 40+ countries, and visited countless cities, villages, and towns. There's been zip lines, cruise lines, and conga lines. We're avid photographers and supply Google with endless photos of where we go and what we eat. Something we wouldn't necessarily share with our doctors. We relocated to Ireland in July 2024 now that Stephen has Irish citizenship.
Why they want to house sit
As part of our move to Ireland, we found opportunities that allowed us more in-depth stays in the Leinster and Munster regions while looking for a place to settle. That's how we ended up in Cork. We are long time members of Trusted House Sitters and previously operated a highly regarded petcare business back in the US. We must be doing something right with many 5 star reviews. And we want your pets to benefit from our thirty years of caring for our own 18 cats and dogs. .

Pardon the immodesty but we are a dynamic duo when it comes to house-sitting with or without animals. Steve is a real estate broker with 23 years of experience. He knows houses and how they work. Robert managed our Airbnb property in Palm Springs CA. In both lines of work we've achieved only 5 star reviews. We also started a petcare business during the pandemic that has earned us rave reviews. We take what we do seriously especially when it comes to your pets and your homes.
What can they bring to the assignment
Clearly we are ardent workers and men of our words. We believe in open communications but remain quite capable to act independently with good judgement. We know what it's like to be on the road and remain concerned about a home and pets. So we will do our best to make sure you can relax and feel confident that there's nothing to worry about back home. Wonderful House sitters
From the moment we met Steve & Robert the evening before we departed on our month long holiday, we knew our house and pets were in good hands. Indeed our dog confirmed this when she snuck in to their bedroom to sleep the first night with them and we had no idea til the morning! Steve & Robert have a lovely warmth and friendliness to them, coupled with a great sense of humour between them. Through out their stay communicated effortlessly with us, in a timely manner and provided regular pet updates and photos which we really appreciated. Excellent trouble-shooters from the off, as we left them to sort a poorly timed washing machine malfunction, which they did with absolute ease. We were sorry to miss them in person on our return but so grateful for the wonderfully clean and tidy home and happy calm pets we returned to. Steve & Robert are excellent house sitters, animal lovers and should we be so lucky, we would welcome back to our home again in a heartbeat.
