About this sitter
I am a writer so petsitting took me into some wonderful places while also offering me a great inspiration (you would be surprised how many poems I wrote about dogs!). I love reading on the beach, interrupted only by throwing a stick to a dog. Currently, I am doing a second housesit for the same family here in Ireland. I have my own van, don't smoke, and the hosts of my previous petsits said that I left the house cleaner than I found it! I am available for a video chat to get to know each other better. I am accepting last minute and long-term sits.
Why they want to house sit
I have been a nomad for 16 years and although I am crazy about pets, it is difficult to have them on the road. That's why l am so happy to petsit - it allowed me to make great furry friends while being able to continue with my lifestyle

I have been house sitting pretty much non stop for the past 3 years across Spain, Portugal, and Ireland.
What can they bring to the assignment
Lots of love for your pets and a caring hand for your house. I like adventures so your dog will have plenty of walks but l also work in front of computer so your cat will have a perfect spot on my lap to take an afternoon nap.

Absolute confidence while we were away
We were very lucky to find Katrina at short notice, before heading away. She confidently took perfect care of our two cats, our house plants and our polytunnel. Katrina sent us a few photos while we were away - just the perfect amount to show that our cats were very happy with her. She didn't bombard us with daily pictures (which was also appreciated!). While we were away our peach tree came into season and we knew we would miss the harvest, so we invited Katrina to help herself rather than have them go to waste. She very kindly left us with two jars of delicious peach preserve, which enabled us to enjoy some of the missed harvest! This was completely unexpected and very much appreciated! It is this kind of kindness, courtesy and detail which encouraged us to have her house-sit for us again a couple of months later. We came home on both occasions to find the house clean and tidy, the guest bed stripped and ready for laundry, and the plants and kitties very happy. We unreservedly recommend Katrina for an intelligent, thoughtful and tuned-in house sitter.
