Retired Couple who loves animals Traveling the World

About this sitter

We are Mark & Billie a recently retired couple who have been married 38 years. We are spending the next few years traveling the world together. We sold and gave away everything we own except what we can carry on a plane to experience new cultures and make new friends. We have always had animals and gardens and this will be something we miss. House and Pet sitting allows us the best of both worlds. Travel and freedom to move around with the cuddles and love of furry friends and helping to care of others homes and gardens. We are excited to see where this next chapter of our lives takes us.

Why they want to house sit

We desire to learn about other places in the world. We love the idea of helping others to have peace of mind while enjoying their own vacations while we discover their unique town. Most of the locations we will choose will have walkability to grocery stores and nearby public transportation options. We stay fit by walking and hiking and will not have a car. We are animal lovers and this gives us the chance to enjoy traveling while getting cuddles and making furry friends and taking care of plants. Just staying at an Airbnb does not give you that sense of home while you are on the road.

Their experience

We just retired 4 months ago. We have already house sat in three different states in the US. We have booked 7 sits some in the UK and Spain. We have always cared for our families pets while their away, but doing this in exchange for a place to stay is fairly new to us. We have hundreds of 5 star reviews on Airbnb as we treat every place we stay as if it was our own and leave it in perfect condition.

What can they bring to the assignment

My husband was a Physician Assistant for 30 years and I was in Banking. You will find us trustworthy and very clean. We love to stay fit as a couple and hike often. We have always had pets in our home and cared for others pets over the years. I grew up with Horses and lots of other animals. My daughters raised rabbits and we fostered many cats and dogs and helped raise litters for adoption. We look forward to meeting new friends and helping others to have a stress free vacation while they are away knowing their beloved pets and home is in great care.
