Hello! My name is Marlene. I am a retired police lieutenant. I now work remotely doing insurance fraud.
I am from the United States but I'm currently in France on a one-year Visa I do have a passport and ready to travel

Why they want to house sit
I would like to house/pet sit, combined with my passion traveling. I enjoy animals of all kinds, especially any kind of farm animals. Working remotely allows me to be able to travel more and the opportunities to see places i may not have thought about.
Their experience
I have had animals all my life, domestic, farm and sea. I grew up on a farm and love all kinds of animals.
I also have a lot of experience taking care of homes while family members and friends have been out of town. This does include taking care of animals, gardening Etc..
What can they bring to the assignment
Being able to work remotely allows me to be flexible with dates for house sitting, when needed. I am very responsible and very respectable to other people's belongings and homes. Plus my love for animals and gardening will ensure that your home and animals will never be neglected

Absolutely Brilliant
Marlene stayed with us for a year in 2023/4 helping us with our 9 Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, our home and our gardens. She is absolutely trustworthy, always cheerful, willing to do whatever is needed to be supportive and fun to be around. She devotes herself 110 percent to her responsibilities and is a resourceful problem-solver. I am quite frankly in awe of her capabilities and her can-do attitude.This was a arduous assignment but every task she took on was done with a high level of expertise and resourcefulness. Her training and discipline as a former police officer and growing up on a farm were quite evident. She is a consummate animal lover and every one of our dogs love her as she does them. One even moved into the guesthouse with her! All said,we ended up being very close like family and it is going to be extremely difficult to have her leave. However, Marlene always has a home with us in France. And I know she'll return as soon as she can. Moreover, I seriously doubt that we'll ever find a responsible helper/trusted friend as competent as Marlene. She is taking a piece of our hearts with her and we will always remember this year we spent together as absolutely brilliant. Marlene is a one-in-a-million caring and thoughtful individual. Marlene was delightful to work with in setting up the sit- prompt communication and very detailed. Pups were happy with the loving and pets and enjoyed their walks and cuddles. House was well kept and Marlene kept my numerous house plants going. Good communication throughout and would definitely be recommended and welcomed back!

Marlene rocks!
Marlene was a fantastic sitter. She got here day before we left so we had plenty of time to go over the routine. She sent lots of pics and videos and generally stayed in touch. Left the place all clean and ready for the next guest. We welcome her back anytime! (We are planning a trip in October, FYI)

Marlene is awesome!!
Marlene did a wonderful job taking care of our 2 dogs, 3 cats, house, and gardens. Marlene contacted us through MindMyHouse and after seeing her profile we contacted her right away. She responded quickly and agreed to a zoom call to meet her and tell her about our home and pets. She was friendly, enthusiastic, and seemed very confident that she could help us out. We told Marlene that the times/dates of arrival were flexible, so that she could come in a day early to meet us and the pets before we left, which she decided to do. We were glad, because she is such a nice person, it was really great meeting her in person. It also gave our furry kids a chance to meet her and feel comfortable with her after we left. Marlene was in communication with us daily, sending pictures and updates. We shared pictures of our travels with her too, She is really funny; which suits out personalities well - it was fun to text her in a light-hearted friendly manner. It really gave us peace of mind that our home and pets were in good hands so that we could relax and enjoy our time away. We kept her informed of our return schedule and she was very nice in providing our pets some extra food before she left just in case our last flight home was delayed. We came home to a clean house and happy animals! She even left some food for us, which was very kind.
