Hi, I'm Beau. I'm an academic writer/researcher in my late 30's. I own a small farm in Washington State in the US, where I live with my partner, 2 dogs, chickens, peacocks, and goats. I am a person that likes to read, write, take walks, drink tea, and go to bed early. I am an avid gardener and I love animals. I am quiet, clean, caring, and responsible. I am open to any opportunity to house sit in Europe this summer, although it will need to be in a location where public transport is available, as I will not have a car. I speak English and intermediate French.

Why they want to house sit

I need to be in Europe for a string of single-day events in July, August, and October. Since I can work remotely from anywhere, I am hoping to simply stay in Europe instead of flying back-and-forth to the US multiple times. I would love the opportunity to spend time in a new place and save carbon by limiting my international flights.

Their experience

Yes! I have owned my own home in the US for 15 years. I know what it feels like to leave my home and pets in the care of someone else, and how important it is for that person to be trustworthy and responsible. I have lots of experience with petsitting and animal care, and I have done housesitting for friends, relatives, and acquaintances several times.

What can they bring to the assignment

If you have houseplants and/or a garden, I'm certified in permaculture design and I'm very experienced with plant care. I've also had dogs, cats, and other pets for many years and I love animals (especially lap dogs and cats). Otherwise, I don't know if I have anything particularly special to offer beyond being a clean, quiet, reliable, and minimally intrusive person who knows how to take care of a house.
