About this sitter

Hello everyone!

We are Linda and Jan - a German couple who loves to travel, get to know new places and meet people.
We are both 30-years old and are working full time as social workers in a small city in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany.

A little bit more about us:

We have been in a relationship for over ten years by now and are a very nice, neat, friendly and mature couple. We are vegetarians, very environmental conscious and interested in eco-friendly living as well as in organic gardening. We have a vegetable garden by our house and love to grow our own food.

Both of us are animal lovers and cat parents for two years. Our lovely black rescue cat Juri brings us joy every day. On top of that we have experience with housesitting where we looked after multiple cats.

Respect towards other people, their belongings, pets and nature is very important to us. Therefore, it is needless to say that we would follow and respect your house rules and instructions. Don’t worry, we are no party people. We rather enjoy nature, hikes and walks, swimming, cooking and a good read.
Moreover we are very communicative and interested in other cultures.

We are fluent in German and English and have basic knowledge in French.

Why they want to house sit

We think housesitting is a great opportunity to get to know a country and its culture aside from tourist hotspots.
It is the perfect way to travel eco-friendly and get to know new people and places. The thought of living in exchange for help is very appealing to us.

Their experience

We have done three housesits so far.

We had two amazing housesits for a lovely couple in London and looked after there beautiful flat and cat.

In Portugal we had a wonderful housesit in an off-grid house with a big garden and pool, where we looked after four sweet cats for a month.

What can they bring to the assignment

We have gardening skills and are experienced in taking care of pets.
We are very tidy and make sure to treat your belongings carefully.
We are fluent in German and English and have basic knowledge in French.
We will make sure that your pet is safe and sound and keep you updated.
