About this sitter
We are a queer chosen family who farms on beautiful Cowlitz land in Washington state. We have so many daily responsibilities in our own home and on our land that it would be such a treat for any of us to get the opportunity to take a break from the everyday carnival of our lifestyle and enjoy a totally different space.
Why they want to house sit
We want to utilize this wonderful system to make travel more accessible to us. Additionally, it is more comfortable and pleasurable to us, as homesteaders to stay somewhere that is lived in and loved on like a home. We're more drawn to this type of market anyway, something a little outside of capitalism, a resource allowing us to meet real people and be in a space of human interaction that includes caring for someone's home and or pets WHILE ALSO getting away from our own everyday life. What a cool program!
Their experience
Very. our community of homesteaders is vast and we have done A LOT of farm-sitting that has not only the routine expectations of tending to the home but many additional responsibilities like garden and livestock chores. We're reliable, trustworthy, experienced and confident tenders to spaces and living beings!
