Norwegian pet lover: Friendly, reliable & tidy

About me:
Hello I'm Vibeke, a Norwegian with a positive and honest mindset, living in Barcelona.

What I'm looking for in a house sit:
I look for a place where I can work from the house, and also have the company of pets. A quiet flat/house is really appreciated. Ideally it's a place still close to or in more lively areas, as I love to work from cafes every now and then.

My lifestyle:
I'm a yoga lover, vegetarian, and I care about the environment, so a big fan of recycling, reducing plastic and making more conscious choices. I love to read books, I enjoy cooking and cleaning, and I always wish I managed to set aside more time to arts & crafts - drawing, painting, and collages are my favourites lately. And I try to practice living in the moment... Pets are a great inspiration for that :)

Why they want to house sit

I have an online web design business (www.gorgeous-geek.com), so I can work from anywhere, and I would love to live and work from different places for shorter periods of time.

I enjoy living in Barcelona, but sometimes I need a change of environment, and I love animals, cats and birds in particular, so being able to give love and care to other people's furry or feathery friend(s) is something I really enjoy.

Their experience

Taking care of a house:
I grew up in detached family houses, so I'm used to taking care of a house. Also I have worked years in the hotel industry, including the housekeeping department, as I like to keep things clean, organized and well-maintained.

Taking care of animals:
I have a good connection with animals, and they feel relaxed around me, even the human shy ones, so there is a good energy.

Mostly I have experience with birds and cats. I've had budgies all my life, and took in a rescue bird a few years that was found lost in a friend's garden, and I have often taken care of cats for friends and family over weeks at a time, and I love caring for them in the way they need; be it space, cuddles, activity or quiet time. I also took care of a friend's bunny for almost 2 months, so got quite a bit of bunny experience too :)

What can they bring to the assignment

I'm very responsible and organized, and a good communicator.
What is important to me is that you feel comfortable leaving me in charge of house and pets, and I will respect any wishes you have for how to take care of things, and what your pet(s) specifically needs.
