About this sitter

Hi! I work remotely and travel with my 4lb rat terrier Jaiya. She is house trained and gets along with other animals and mostly just wants to be near whoever she is with. I am looking for 2wk-3month house sits. I prefer to arrive somewhere and settle into a routine of tending to the house, plants, animals, home and myself.

Why they want to house sit

I am interested in house sitting as a way to live in a place that I might want to set roots in the future. During my twenties I house sat wherever I lived and I appreciated the exchange of energy that house sitting offered me. I love tending to plants and spaces (animals too) and I think I am great at it. I care for the earth and for peoples special places. I am in a transitional phase of my adult life and house sitting fits into my lifestyle at the moment.

Their experience

Yes, a cumulative 8 years of experience of tending to others dwellings. In my twenties I house sat where I lived. I traveled for 6 years learning how to grow food and following my meditation teachers. I would live in an area for 6-8 months. As I spent time in the community someone would ask if I was open to house sitting or dog sitting, I would say yes and from there a network of people would form by word of mouth that I was open and available to house sit. House sitting always formed organically for me. Now, I am at a stage of my life where broadening my network with an organization like this fits.

What can they bring to the assignment

I bring experience, compassion and cleanliness to the assignment. I spent 6 years learning how to grow and tend to plants. I have cared for my own dog for the last 10 years and spent 6 years in my twenties tending to other peoples dogs and environments, I am clean and organized and aim to leave your home in better condition than found. I respect peoples spaces and am always honored that people trust me to tend to their homes, plants, animals. I take that seriously and want there to be a mutual feeling of receiving what we both need from the deal. I work remotely and that will be much of my time in your home. I am happy to offer references of people I have house sat previously.
