Hi! I'm a cat whisperer (cat behaviorist) and animal lover (dogs & parrots)

About this sitter

Hi! My name is Steph (47y) and I've had cats my entire life. I was a foster cat mum for several years, and I work volunteeringly at the animal sanctuary where I also walk the dogs, socialize cats and find them forever homes. I also provide clicker training for cats, dogs and parrots.
I hold a dog walking lizence ,) a first aid course for cats and became a cat behaviorist not long ago.

I've done a lot of pet sitting, mainly here in Germany and also in Australia as a helper and wwoofer. I've also worked for food and accomodation in animal sanctuaries around the world, for example with cheetahs in South Africa. (also in Tansania, Lesotho, Vanuatu, Hawaii, New Zealand, Europe, Canada, US...) I've also worked with disabled and incontinent cats in a cat sanctuary in Austria for a month.

I've built my kitty a little runway on may bedroom wall, and lately as well one straight under the ceiling. She loves it!- check out the pics! :)

Why they want to house sit

I love to be in Australia but also Europe and so far I've always done helpxchange and wwoofing (for round about 25 years), but as I always have cat sitters for my own cat via mind my house I thought this would be a great opportunity for me too!
I'm very tidy, reliable and hands on. So I can look after your pet as well as after your garden and after your house. I'm reliable, communicate well , I'm sensitive and hands on. I'll feel straight away, if your pet feels unwell and needs to see the vet. I've once even told the owner, that I found a lump on their dogs belly - they were lucky to be able to remove it quickly, before it spread!

Their experience

I have cats since I'm little. I've done 25 years of wwoofing and helpxchange and in this time I was looking after pets, such as cats, cheetahs, dogs and rabbits, but also horses, goats, sheep, turtles, cows, pics, alpacas, donkeys, chucks and parrots.
I love all kind of animals but the strongest connection I do feel with cats, dogs and parrots.That's why I became a cat behaviorist.

What can they bring to the assignment

I would love to come to do some cat sit and look after your pets and house for about 2-3 weeks during the German school holidays. As I now work in a public school setting I can't be away for too long. - And - I also have to arrange a cat sitter for my own cat, when I'm abroad, and don't wanna be seperated for too long.... ,o
I can also teach German and art & children facepaint, if this would be interesting for you! :) I provide clicker training to your pets, and as a cat behaviorist I can also check your cats diet and write down supplements for your cats wellbeing... :)
