I am Rocio. In March 2019 I arrived from a 6-year-long journey by bicycle from Japan to Spain. I cycled across 30+ countries and circa 65 000 km through places lost in time.

Since then, I had the opportunity to house-sit on and off in Portugal and Spain.

I met some loving pets and amazing hosts!

I am in my 40´s, healthy and fit with a positive outlook on the world.

I was born in rural Spain (Galicia) surrounded by animals and nature and grew up in Geneva, Switzerland.

I have traveled extensively since my early 20s and have lived and worked in several countries. I speak Spanish, French, English, Japanese, and Galician-Portuguese.

I am a non-smoke/non-vaper, a clean and quiet person.

I enjoy a frugal life: going on walks, and cooking simple meals, contemplating, enjoying the little things...

I expect house and pet owners to give me clear instructions about what they expect and to find a place reasonably clean.

Why they want to house sit

I am in a period of transition into a new beginning, and I am curious to see what opportunities life has to offer me.

House-sitting is a great way to combine my love of animals and travel while helping house and pet owners to have peace of mind while they are on vacation. It´s a win-win.

I take on any new house-sitting assignment with an open heart and an open mind, and I would be happy to look after your beloved pets and house as if they were mine.

I have been house-sitting for the past few years. I have experience living off-grid and in remote and solitary places.

Mid and long-term house-sits.

I am used to handling big dogs. I looked after as many as 5 together. I looked after a poney too. And we always had cats in the family.

Some of the dogs were medicated daily, so I am used to giving daily medication.

What can they bring to the assignment

A joyous and pet-caring personality.

I have been house-sitting in remote and solitary locations amid plenty of nature. I am the type of person who can enjoy simple living and solitude is rarely an issue.

Left to my own resources, I am quite a DIY person and can handle basic repairs around the house, as well as some basic gardening.

I will ensure you have peace of mind during your time away, sending updates and photos of your beloved pets.
