About this sitter
We are pleased to introduce ourselves to you as the ideal housesitter couple! We are Andrew and Karen, and are recently retired from our careers in Supplier Quality with the Boeing Company, and Registered Nurse in Labor and Delivery respectively. Over the past ten years, we were working and living abroad in Europe and Asia where we found our passion for experiencing life in other cultures. Andy’s talents include woodworking and gardening, while I am passionate about photography and cooking.
Why they want to house sit
We are eager to explore other countries abroad, and are the ideal housesitters, as we have no time restrictions. We are highly conscientious and find great enjoyment in leaving any place we have visited, better than when we arrived. We are more than happy to care for your plants and gardens, as well as maintain the beauty of your home surroundings.
Their experience
Since we retired from our careers… we have had the pleasure of longterm housesitting in Queensland, Australia, The Lakes district in England, Castle grounds and a Chateau in Thure, France, and the Costa del Sol in Spain. The first three destination we were housesitting for three months at a time, and we had the pleasure of doing some work and grounds maintenance in all four sits. We cannot recommend them highly enough
On October the 1st of 2021 my husband and I had the pleasure of receiving Andre and Karen to care for our estate for 3 months. They lived in a cottage on the property which consists of multiple old buildings, gardens and land in addition to assorted vehicles and farm machinery. Andy and Ren embraced with enthusiasm every single project we were up to and went from sanding the inside of a 16th century building to waxing and polishing its floor. The outside wooden furniture found a new youth in their hand and to tell you the truth : nothing stopped them at any moment. They caught up on everything! Their work ethic and standard of care were impeccable and their help invaluable. Havane, our affectionate and happy dog, adopted them right away. The permanent smile and easy-going nature they share were a real plus. Our whole family really enjoyed having them around and felt blessed while away. We felt a real friendship take hold and are looking forward to receive them for another 3 months next year. We cannot recommend them highly enough. It was our distinct pleasure to get to know them and to have them here at our home.

The most wonderful couple
We were very happy with Karen and Andy to house sit for us. As our house had only been lived in for 5 weeks they treated it as if it was their own. They are most welcome in our home any time. Karen and Andy are the most wonderful couple who are full of life and enjoy travelling the world thus making them the perfect house sitters.
