Architect on a year long sabbatical looking for a change of locale for a new perspective on life

About this sitter

Grace under pressure with a preference for being low key, I enjoy meeting new people and visiting new places. I am not looking for anything in particular from a property but some companionship from a pet would be a definite plus!

Why they want to house sit

I have rented my house beginning October 2023 on Shelter Island in New York and am looking to take a year off to evaluate my life. House sitting in an environment different than my own would be a perfect way to do that.

Their experience

I have not house sat before but that said, as a custom residential architect, my clients have all entrusted me with their personal spaces to some degree.

What can they bring to the assignment

I understand how building systems work (or maybe more importantly how they don’t work) and am a bit handy too. I am highly sensitive to my environment as well - please see photos of my own home.
