About this sitter
I am a music teacher, now retired. I have also worked as a researcher, have specialized in musician's history. I love animals and like to take care of them. I have had three dogs and two cats. I have also travelled in Europe and been living some time in Vienna and Berlin. I speak german, english, swedish and a bit french. I love to go to concerts, opera and art museums and exhibitions. My hobbies are reading, knitting, walking and cooking. I like to stay in the countryside but better not too far as I don't like to drive long distances. Also a city-flat is ok with me.
Why they want to house sit
Because it is not possible for me two have animals of my own now, it would be nice to have contact with cats or a dog because I really miss their presence. A house sitting and taking care of animals could be a good possibility to travel now and then as I love to see new places.
Their experience
I have had three dogs (one German shepherd and two rescue dogs) and two cats (both rescue cats) and took care of them for years.

Good cat sitter!
Leena has stayed for 3 weeks at my place, looking after my free roaming cat Mona. She is great talking to, clean, friendly, she was talking to my neighbors, spent time with my parents and made herself familiar with the surrounding cities. More over she was a great cat sitter, and had an instant connection to Mona. Leena is a calm character and my - at the beginning - shy cat made friends with her pretty quickly. She has a calm approach and understands cats needs. Leena did stay in touch with me during my travels, and did send some videos and pics.
