About this sitter
I'm Claire, 38, from Ireland. I've recently relocated back to Europe having moved to Vancouver in 2016, and currently am enjoying seeing and experiencing new places as I continue my housesitting journey. I'm very flexible and available for longer term housesits. I've enjoyed both the sits I've completed in the countryside and in a city context. I do love the opportunity to look after plants/a garden, and any furry friends to spoil and cuddle are an especially welcome bonus!
Why they want to house sit
I'm purposefully not rushing settling somewhere and will be using my housesitting time as time for self-reflection and planning for my next steps in life. Housesitting will give me the opportunity to have space whilst connecting with and caring for a beloved home and pets, which brings me solace and purpose.
Their experience
I've had the pleasure of house-sitting for various sits totaling around 3 months so far, and have thoroughly enjoyed caring for both dogs and cats, while staying in regular contact with the homeowners (as necessary or requested) and promptly dealing with any issues that arose.
What can they bring to the assignment
Reliability, confidence and excellent communication skills. I recognise it as a significant step to open one's home to a new person, and to entrust the care of loved pets to them, and I take that seriously. Plus, I thrive best in a very neat and clean environment, so will take excellent care of your home.

Claire looked after our cat and plants extremely well. She was very discreet, responsible and quick to respond to queries. Highly recommended
We were more than happy with Claire and can highly recommend her. Our dogs and cats were in great shape and form when we returned. Our home was likewise in perfect shape, and probably cleaner than when we left. Claire was easy to work with on arrangements and logistics and nothing was an issue for her. She was unflapable even when the heating decided to stop working in the middle of her stay. We wish Claire all the best on any future House minding assignments and hope that anyone else coming to our home is as good as she was. Thanks Claire.

Ticks all the boxes!
We were very lucky to find Claire here to mind our house and two cats for two weeks while we were away. Claire arrived when she said she would, and without even sitting down for a cup of tea after her long journey walked around with us while we showed her the polytunnel (to be watered), house plants to be watered once, various pieces of equipment in the kitchen etc., before we took off. As soon as we had spoken to Claire by video call we knew our cats were going to be in good hands. Intelligent, bright, warm and friendly, Claire ' when we met her in person was someone we felt comfortable leaving the house and cats with. She took excellent care of the kitties and plants, and left the place clean, tidy and left flowers on the table when we returned, a sweet touch (which I'm not suggesting is routine btw!) which was lovely to greet us. I've already recommended her to a friend who is looking for a house sitter for 2 months.
