About this sitter
We are non-smoking, fit, active and a well travelled professional, married couple. We lived in Australia for 17 years until we moved to Spain in August 2013.
We are involved in a self-storage business in Australia. Gerard is a registered builder and holds a plumbing licence. I was an IT Consultant and have worked on numerous IT Projects globally. We have European residency and an Italian car, as well as Australian/UK passports.
Why they want to house sit
We have had the pleasure of house-sitting for the last 10 years and have enjoyed both short, and long-term house-sitting assignments. We enjoy the experience of meeting new people, embracing different cultures, integrating with the locals and exploring. We are also avid animal lovers. We are living in Umbertide, Italy and are still very keen to travel! There are 5 dogs on our property, that we feed, walk, love and care for, 3 of these are rescues.
Their experience
We have a wealth of knowledge and experience to share whilst looking after a property. This includes, managing a property whilst construction work is happening, managing workawayers, looking after many type of animals.
