About this sitter

Hello! We are El & Em (Lamardo and Emerald). We are frequent travelers and love to explore new cities. El is a creative with a background in martial arts who currently works in the film industry and is taking this year to focus on script writing and choreography. Em is a nanny-turned-recruiter who works from home. We enjoy exploring new cities as well as relaxing in more quiet settings and have enjoyed the opportunity to care for some lovely pets as housesitters over the past few years. We are happy to provide references!

Why they want to house sit

We have found that housesitting is a lovely way to meet new people and explore new locations. As pet owners ourselves, we enjoy the companionship that pet sitting provides. We've cared for dogs, cats, and chickens so far, and have had excellent experiences making new animal pals!

Their experience

As a nanny, Em spent 6 years bonding with and caring for her client family’s pets. She became well versed in understanding the daily routines of different homes and their pets and provided feedings, fresh water, and lots of walks and outdoor play.

El is excellent with all breeds of dogs and cats and very handy with outdoor upkeep. We both have a background in raising puppies and kittens and caring for older dogs, so the age of your pets will never be a barrier. Em grew up on a farm with goats, sheep, horses, donkeys, alpacas, cows, chickens, ducks, and a few other furry and feathered friends, so there are very few animals that she hasn't owned and cared for in the past!

What can they bring to the assignment

We are both experienced pet owners and have raised dogs, cats, reptiles, horses, goats, chickens, and pigeons, among other animals. We bring a wealth of animal care experience to every sit. Additionally, we are both well-versed in home and garden care. We are comfortable with both indoor and outdoor upkeep and caretaking and enjoy sits in both city and farm locations.
