Experienced Couple

About this sitter

We are Paulina (42) and Matt (46), a married couple from Poland and England. In the last 12 years together, we have lived in various countries in Europe and beyond. Our background is hospitality, retreat management, gardening, yoga and music. We have worked in hotels, managed retreat venues and Airbnbs, looked after various types of properties and animals and run our own businesses. We are experienced in all kinds of settings from off-grid jungle hideaways to high-end Spanish fincas.

Why they want to house sit

We love to change locations and experience life in different countries. We often do seasonal work in summer locations. We worked, volunteered and house-sat in Greece, Thailand, Cambodia, Spain, Cyprus, France, Mexico, Poland and England. Paulina also worked a couple of winters in ski resorts in France whilst Matt has run a gardening company.
Recently, we have bought a van and have been converting it into a campervan. We would like to use our van as a base to move around Europe to find work and/or housesitting. Long-term projects, animals and site management are preferable to short-term visits.

Their experience

We are very experienced in looking after retreats, houses and farms. It has been one of our main jobs over the last few years. In the last year, we were running an Airbnb house in London. Before that, we were renovating and managing a yoga retreat in Mexico. We spent 6 years living full-time in Spain, first running a luxury retreat in the mountains near Malaga, then running our own businesses. We were members of Mindmyhouse some years ago. We used it to look after some pets and a house in Greece.

What can they bring to the assignment

We keep all properties to a very high standard. We are highly skilled in cleaning, gardening and maintenance. We love animals and enjoy their company and looking after them. We are experienced, mature and trustworthy. We have designed and renovated many properties we have been part of. We love working with people, working as hosts and organising events and activities.
