Polyglot educator active in retirement

About this sitter

Thanks to the plague of several years ago my job as a minor administrator (admission assistant director) of a small, Catholic college in Philadelphia PA became eliminated. (It had required significant travel; no one was travelling any more.) Since then I have been volunteering on campus in several capacities including assistant to an athletic coaching staff and the art museum curator. Further, I teach newly arrived adults introductory English three nights a week in an area church facility. I am a decent cook, writer, linguist (German, Italian, Spanish, a bit of French. I have significant experience living abroad short term in Western Europe and Latin America.

Why they want to house sit

Keep my retired bones moving. Get me out of the house, Change of scenery. Force me to be active. Provide large chunks of time to work on my memoirs my memoirs. Embrace some solitude. maybe have my very own dog(s) for a little bit.

Their experience

I am somewhat experienced. At several junctures of my life I was responsible for the running and maintenance of houses with 6 to 180 rooms. The former one was a community of volunteers and members of a non-profit who directed them; latter one was a casa per feria in Rome Italy whose residents stayed up to 90 days as tourists, pilgrims, students and folks on religious retreat.

What can they bring to the assignment
