About this sitter

We are a mature professional non-smoking British couple who have lived and worked in many areas of UK and overseas, with two grown up children and a chihuahua who would stay with friends during a house sit, My wife and I would very much enjoy helping people with pets by looking after their homes and pets while they are away.

Why they want to house sit

We ourselves have experienced difficulties in the past to find someone to look after our house and pet while we were away, so would now like to help others in similar situations. As we now no longer have the day to day responsibilities of children at home, we would enjoy the variety of supporting people in different places.

Their experience

We have a male chihuahua, Oscar, which became a member of our family at 6 months old in 2013 when we were living and working in the Middle East. We brought him back with us to UK in 2021. We also raised two daughters with some success. We have both owned and rented properties in the UK, which we have always left in a much better condition than we found them. Our main experience is with dogs, but we would be happy to look after cats, fish, birds and small animals such as rabbits and hamsters. Indeed, we had rabbits, hamsters and fish when our children were young.

What can they bring to the assignment

We offer a gentle calm and caring approach to house sitting and pet care as if we were looking after our own property and pets for family members or close friends. We appreciate the responsibility of house sitting and looking after pets and value the trust placed in us.
