About this sitter
We are retired and recently moved to a townhouse in New Bern, North Carolina, on the east side of the state. Our earlier years were spent living on the west coast of the U.S. We own a travel van and plan to travel on the east coast in 2026.
Why they want to house sit
We enjoy visiting new places and exploring the areas surrounding them. We have spent 18 months of the last 3 years traveling in our van throughout the U.S and Canada. Most of our travels were back roads and highways, stopping in small towns and and trailheads for a day hike. We love animals, but do not have any of our own due to our mobile lifestyle.
Their experience
We have done a couple of pet sits in Florida and North Carolina through this website. We are experienced at property management. Len is a retired remodeling contractor. Stella is a retired real estate agent. We have owned rental properties that we managed ourselves. We have done pet sitting for friends in our home town. We have watched a Bernese Mountain Dog for 2 months and several other smaller dogs for different friends. We also grew up with pets in the house when we were children and later as adults.
What can they bring to the assignment
We have always taken very good care of our properties and do the same wherever we stay. We love animals, but don't have our own because we travel a lot. If we are taking care of yours, they will receive a lot of attention. Our schedule is somewhat flexible. We would prefer shorter duration pet sits at this time.

Home and Pet Sitting
Len and Stella house and pet sat for us during the Christmas holiday. They both are extremely nice people and we enjoyed meeting them and felt very comfortable having them watch our pets and home. They left our home in perfect condition and I think they enjoyed our pets and home. I would recommend them to house and pet sit.
