Nature loving couple with lovely dog looking for new adventures

We are a young couple in our early 30ies with our beloved dog/child Amaritawe (we take her with us everywhere we go). She is a well trained, 2 year old mixed breed and loves to play with other dogs. She also gets along well with cats that are used to dogs. Her personality is calm and affectionate. We already took her to our last work in a yoga retreat for 6 months, where the owner first didn't want dogs (and is also allergic!) but then fell in love with her so much he allowed it anyways. Even scared people and dogs normally come close to her and make friends with her..

We love a calm environment in nature around local communities with people from different cultures. Lisa is from Austria, loves art and books. Nicolas is from Chile and loves doing woodwork projects and works as an architect. We both love spending time in nature with our dog, invest our time in art projects and we work online, remote.

Why they want to house sit

We are looking for the opportunity of projecting our kind of lifestyle, having the opportunity to travel to different countries on a lower budget and a higher quality of life. We like to have time, spend it with animals and lovely people in beautiful nature. We are on a mission looking for a place to build our own home in europe or the americas. We would love to get to know a variety of places to see where we feel most comfortable to build our own nest.

Their experience

We both have had pets our whole lives. Beginning with dogs and cats in childhood, we both also have our dog Amarita we take with us everywhere we go. She is a well trained, 2 year old mixed breed and loves to play with other dogs. She also gets along well with cats that are used to dogs.

Nicolas also has 7 dogs in Chile, which are currently been taken care of by his family while he is in Europe. He grew up in a house where there was always different kind of animals around, like parrots, dogs, cats, hamsters, farrot, fish, turtle, rabbit.

We both have professional experience with taking care of household tasks. We recently worked for 6 months at the Alpen Yoga Retreat where we were responsible for cleaning rooms and bathrooms, common areas and cooking for hosting up to 30 people every other week. We also have had seasonal jobs in the past in hospitality that required cleaning assignments and general maintenance. Nicolas also build his own house in Pucon, Chile where he got experience in fixing different things (plumbing, electricity, etc) around the house. Lisa also worked at a horse ranch in colorado, USA where she took care of guests, kitchen and helped taking care of the life stock (Horses, goats, pigs).

What can they bring to the assignment

For starters, we both have a lot of time to take care of pets and we love to go on long walks (even when its raining) and constantly play or cuddle with animals. Also we work great as a team when it comes to do some deep house cleaning, taking hair off couches and blankets, and in general maintaining a clean environment in a daily basis. We both have had done a lot of work in volunteer places, doing all sort of things, from scraping mold from shower tiles to complete meals for 20+ people, we have managed with success a lot of tasks as volunteers over the past years. Also Nicolas was doing volunteering in Canada and the US, helping families in general maintaince of housing (lights, loose cabinets, plumbing fixtures, sanding floor decks, building furniture, etc). We are a power couple when it comes to take care of houses and make the energy around it shine a bit brighter :)
