About this sitter
We're retired folks from central Maine who love to travel and see new places. We enjoy a quiet lifestyle, discovering new places, and spending time in the outdoors. We love cats. Housesitting will be a great way to explore while helping other folks with their needs!
Why they want to house sit
Our current home is seasonal, so we're looking for a place to spend part of each winter. Sits in the spring and autumn are good, too! North America may be best, so we can have our car - but we're open to opportunities worldwide.
Our pets are no longer with us - we owned cats for many years - and have lots of love to share with furry friends.
Their experience
We've completed two sits for one homeowner in 2025. The first was for 2 months, the second for 2 weeks. We are experienced home and pet owners. We're looking to continue and gain more experience in the sitting world! Give us a chance - we won't disappoint you.
What can they bring to the assignment
We are mature and responsible, with a lot of common sense. We will care for a home as if it was our own -- when we live at your home, it becomes our home! Tim is a skilled IT network engineer and able to support home systems. As longtime home owners, we're handy with home repairs and projects. Our seasonal home was a rental for several years, so we appreciate and understand caring for property and the value of responsible guests. Our availability is flexible. Our pets are no longer with us - we owned cats for many years - and have lots of love to share with furry friends.

Great House Sitters
Lauren and Tim were house sitters, for 2 months, to my fur and feather babies. As it was a long term sitter I asked them to arrive a day early, so I could get them settled in and explain everything, which they happily agreed to. They were attentive to my kitty Cosette and Bob, the Nanday Conure. Without having prior experience with birds, Tim and Lauren fell into the daily routine of both animals and did a great job. Communication was on going via texts, whatsapp, with pictures and the on goings of my pets. They played and interacted extremely well with my fur/feather kids and the transition, when I left again, a month later, for a couple of weeks, both animals were happy and well cared for. My house was well maintained and plants taken care of... I highly recommend Lauren and Tim as house sitters for your fur or feather babies!
