Retired Mainers ready to roam! Interested in a long-term sit for winter 2024-2025

About this sitter

We're recently retired folks from central Maine who love to travel and see new places. We enjoy a quiet lifestyle, discovering new places, and spending time in the outdoors. Housesitting will be a great way to explore while helping other folks with their needs!

Why they want to house sit

We owned 2 homes for 35+ years and sold one in 2022. Our current home is seasonal, so we're looking for a place to spend part of the winter. We're ready to look for a long-term sit for next winter. December '24 through late March or mid-April '25 would be ideal, and we can consider shorter term. North America may be best, so we can have our car - but we're open to all interest!

While we don't have housesitting experience yet, we are experienced home and pet owners. We're looking to get started in the sitting world!

What can they bring to the assignment

We are mature and responsible, with a lot of common sense. We will care for a home as if it was our own -- when we live at your home, it becomes our home! Tim is a skilled IT network engineer and able to support home systems. As longtime home owners, we're pretty handy with home repairs and enjoy projects. Our seasonal home was a rental for several years, so we appreciate and understand caring for property and the value of responsible guests. Our availability is flexible. Our pets are no longer with us - we owned cats for many years - and have lots of love to share with furry friends.
