About this sitter

Available: Feb 12 to Feb 21
Available: Feb 26 to March 7

Female traveler type with "my people" at home but I like to explore. I'm independent and capable, enjoy my own company for little getaways. I'm a homeowner myself so I understand the concept of taking care of a home and "prevention" when things feel off. I'm handy around the house and a problem-solver.

I'm a great fit for a place with trails, doggos that need a snuggle or like to trail run, ski or sniff about off-leash. I'm big into well-trained critters and will spoil good pets with all the affection, but super barky, loud or mischievous pets are not a good match for me. Allergic to cats but can help watch over them if they are independent and don't need too much. Experience with horses, mules, donks and other outside beasts so long as they aren't aggressive.

I work remotely which allows me to travel and see new places; I just need good coffee and internet.

I am a sucker for well-behaved dogs that want some personal attention and snuggles. I had to say goodbye to my four-legged best friend, Porter, about a year ago so some furball love is extra special to me. Belly rubs, fetch, hide & sneak and enrichment games are my bag. Big/medium dogs are my favorite.

Why they want to house sit

Love seeing this beautiful round planet we call home. Enjoy a mutual benefit. We all benefit taking care of each other. I enjoy outdoor spaces, patios, nearby trails and quite neighborhoods.

Their experience

I have had dogs and cared for dogs all my life. I believe a well-trained dog has more freedom to sniff, explore, and be his/her dog-self. Win-win. Because I also work during the day, animals that require hypervigilance (ie: digging holes, chewing shoes, chasing wildlife) may not be the best fit for me. I won't ignore them, but sometimes I just have to focus on work.

I have done short-term sitting and long-term (3 months longest). I have been in "regular" homes and off-grid homes. I can make small repairs with no problem and I'm handy with tools. I don't mind cutting the grass or shoveling snow.

If there is a way to explore and adventure in your area (dog-friendly trails, skiing, breweries) your animal will be busy and we'll both be happier.

What can they bring to the assignment

Love. Care. Attention. Curiosity. Prevention. No one wants to hear about an issue after it's a full-blown problem. I like to ask questions, check in, send pics of adventures. As much fun for me as it is for your pets. If that's annoying to you, then I'm not the right choice. Communication and availability is key on both sides to avoid weirdness.
