About this sitter
Hello - My name is Jen. I've been married to my husband, Barrett, for 13 years. We love to travel and are very respectful. We have sons who are studious and respectful who like to travel with us. We are originally from the US, but currently live in Spain. I work remotely, so our schedule is flexible. We love animals and are happy to look after pets. Our only requirement is a reliable internet connection and at least two bedrooms.
Why they want to house sit
We love traveling and seeing new places. We also love animals but can't have a pet because of the fact that we're frequently traveling. House sitting is a perfect way for us to experience new places, look after animals, and have a sense of home even when we're abroad.

We've traveled extensively and have incredible reviews at the many AirBnBs we've stayed at. My husband used to work for a cleaning business, so we're efficient housekeepers. My husband and I both grew up in families that owned farms, so we've been around animals our whole lives.
What can they bring to the assignment
My husband and I are both highly trained professionals (I'm an Optometrist and he's an attorney). We are reliable and responsible. Lovely family, excellent sit (3rd time!)
We have no hesitation in recommending Jen and Barrett. Jen and Barrett and family have housesat for us for the third time over Xmas 2025, this time bringing a much loved auntie with them (agreed with us beforehand) and again it has been an excellent experience. Communication with Jen was very open, clear and positive before and during the sit, which always gives us confidence that our home and pets are in safe hands. They first housesat for us Xmas 2024, (reviewed on this site), then again in June 2025 (we neglected to write a review at the time but everything was perfect). Our house is a reformed Cortijo, with all modern conveniences but is remote, and as a country property requires extra attention to water management, pool maintenance in the summer, & etc.. Jen & Barrett managed the house, plants and pets well, both summer and winter. Our pets are not only well cared for but also well loved, especially by the boys. On this occasion there had been storms in the area and it was unusually cold. We returned to a well ordered home, happy pets and the log fire burning to welcome us back. It is important to us as hosts that not only do sitters look after things for us, but that they enjoy their stay. We are pleased that the family make the most of everything our home and the surrounding area offers, and the boys take time to leave us notes and pictures of their time here. Our thanks to Jen and Barrett and their lovely family. Hopefully we will have an opportunity to welcome them to our home again!

Perfect home sitter for all kind of animals 😊
A huge thank you to Jen and her family for taking such good care of all our animals and vegetable garden. Our furry and feathery pets were perfectly happy and healthy when we came back. We got news everyday and were able to enjoy our holidays knowing everything was going great at home.

Excellent family sit
Excellent Jen and Barrett and their two sons house and pet sat for our dog and 4 cats for 10 days over Christmas December 2024. Communication with them before, during and after the sit was great. Jen arrived ahead of the rest of the family as the boys were still in school but they worked to ensure they could support our dates, and even added an extra day at the end of their sit when our flight times were changed by the airline. We had no concerns at all while we were away and came home to a lovely clean home, healthy plants and happy pets. Our home is a fully reformed cortijo but a country home which needs some extra attention to water management etc. and all this was handled well. We would recommend Jen, Barrett and the boys without hesitation, and would be happy to have them sit for us again in the future.

Lovely family with great pet caring skills
Jen, her husband Barrett and little Ethan and Dominic sat for us for 5 days. They are a lovely family, friendly and reliable. Taking care of 3 lively dogs and a cat can be a bit of a challenge but they absolutely were up to it, they took excellent care of the pets, regularly kept in touch sending pics and updates, walked the dogs a lot. The boys took seriously their pet sitting duties and even brought written checklists to follow and they were not scared of the big doggies. We highly recommend Jen & fam! Thank you guys, we hope to meet you again in future!
