About this sitter

Hello dear hosts and pet owners,
my name is Laura, I'm 29 years old and working as a project manager in Germany. I love to travel, experience different countries (especially with warm/sunny weather) and taking care of animals: spending time inside with them as well as outside in nature.
I have the possibility to work abroad in my job, this is great to combine house or pet sitting with working. I will need WiFi and electricity therefore...running, hot water would be nice too. ;)
Languages I speak: German, English, Spanish fluently, and French (intermediate).

It's an awesome opportunity to help people with pets, combined with staying in a foreign country.

Their experience

I've been volunteering in animal shelters for 6 years in Germany and also 5 months in Spain during my studies. I have done many dog and cat sits over the past years (around 9 different owners).
Currently, I'm volunteering every week in a german cat shelter in my home town. As I'm very interested and educated regarding cat and dog nutrition, I am aware of the needs of your pet to stay fit and healthy.
Moreover, I know how to give medicine to cats, also subcutaneous injections (insuline) and can measure cats' blood sugar levels.

What can they bring to the assignment

First and foremost: Lots of love and respect for your pets and home. I know how it feels when you're away and you leave your beloved ones at home, how fast you miss them and how happy you are when you know they're in good hands. I will take care of your pets as if they were my "furry babies".
As I'm an organized and responsible person, I'm going to keep your house/flat in good condition -- respect is the keyword. I grew up on the countryside and have lived in rural areas in Spain since I'm a child. Therefore, I'm flexible when it comes to comfort and I've got a hands-on mentality.
