About this sitter

Hello, I'm Janet from Trento, a small town in Northern Italy. Before COVID-19, I was managing to move to warmer places (I lived in the Canary Islands for two winters!). However, during the pandemic, I had to return here, where I've been stuck ever since.

Now, I'm eager to start exploring again! I work in sound branding and music. During the winter, there's not much to do here, so I thought it would be a good opportunity to leave.

I've always wanted a cat of my own, but unfortunately, circumstances never made it possible. If you have cats, I would be super happy to take care of them!

As for what I'm looking for in a house sit, there are three main things:

- Warmth is key, cold weather is what I'm looking to leave behind
- Good internet connection, as I will be working from home
- Generally speaking I won't be traveling by car, so there needs to be a way to reach supermarkets and surrounding areas that are not at walking distance.
- A minimum stay of a month would be ideal.

Regarding the rest, I am pretty flexible!

Why they want to house sit

I hate the cold. There, I said it. And it is cold in the wintertime where I currently live. Plus I am quite bored with staying here, and the cost of living right now is just ridiculous compared to what the area has to offer, at least for me during the winter months.

House sitting looks like a great way to explore, meet new people, and maybe find a new direction for the future, all while being able to afford keeping my room in a shared flat at home, for when I have to go back.

I also see this as an opportunity to focus on myself. Since I'll be alone (I'm not traveling with a partner), I'll be able to meditate, study and give a new spin to my daily routine.

Their experience

I've occasionally taken care of my friends' places and plants for a couple of weeks, but this is my first experience with "official" house sitting :)

I love keeping the spaces where I live clean and tidy. Clean spaces make me feel relaxed and help with mental clarity.

What can they bring to the assignment

I'll take care of your place - and the living things within - as if they were my own. :)
