About this sitter
An experienced sitter with excellent references from private and other websites but none for this website.
An active retired professional engineer, a non-smoker, comfortable in either the city or rural situations.
I love of nature wherever ever it is with a special interest in butterflies and bees.
I am learning Italian and wish to improve my fluency when house sitting.
Why they want to house sit
I have been lucky enough to have lived in Missouri, USA and to have travelled extensively throughout Europe. I love meeting new people and experiencing different cultures so house sitting and pet sitting will give me that opportunity again but in an enhanced way.
Their experience
I am experienced and have excellent references from other websites and private sits but none for this website.
In 2024 I completed a 7-week dog sit (Miki) in France and a 2-week cat sit (Sophie) in Abruzzo, Italy and in the UK have sat for a dog (Dougie) and cat (Bella) in Cheshire, a dog in Malvern (Nickel) and another dog (Tilley) near Liverpool.
Also, I have had the pleasure of looking after pets for friends and family, such as dogs Lucy and Denzil, and Tony the cat .
Of course I have had my own pets, but who hasn’t.
What can they bring to the assignment
I will be fully dedicated to the care of your pets and home from which I will derive A great deal of pleasure.
I believe that I am sensitive to the moods and different personalities of pets which I believe is a key quality in these situations.
I follow home-owners instructions closely, have consistent daily routines and can give updates (WhatsApp , FaceTime, MapMyRide, etc) to the owners so they know everything is running smoothly.
Finally, I am fully aware of the immense commitment and love that owners put into their pets, homes and gardens.
Homeowners can rest assured that their property can be safely entrusted to me, that will be properly secured and very well looked after.
In the past I have renovated my own cottage, have experience of solid fuel and log burning stoves, and of septic tanks.

Lovely experience!
From the beginning there was a good feeling with Graham and Catherine when we met on facetime. I needed a last minute catsitting and they were very flexible. I feel lucky that we could arranged the sit easily and quickly. I also had the chance to share a lovely time with them before I left. They are very communicative, conscientious, and trust worthy. They took care of my two cats for 10 days. Upon my return, I found happy and relaxed cats, healthy plants and a house perfectly tidy and clean! I enjoyed getting to know Graham and Catherine, I felt very confortable leaving my house and I hope to have them as cat sitters again!!!

Graham was the ideal pet and house sitter
Graham was the ideal pet and house sitter. He and Miki got on really well from the start and Graham walked him and played with him regularly, The house was very clean and well organized. he was able to navigate the french language and he was well liked by our friends and neighbours and we would love to have him come back again. Highly recommended for any petsits.

Graham was the ideal sitter for Doug and Bella. Attended to all their needs and out on good walks with Doug each day. House was left completely clean and bedding out on the washing line ready for our return. I would have no hesitation in recommending Graham for future sits

A very successful experience
This was our first experience with a sitter and it was a very successful experience. We had a FaceTime to meet Graham prior to his sitting and then Graham and his partner Catherine arrived as planned on the day before our departure. This was a great opportunity to show the way our home works and introduce Nickel our dog plus show some favourite walks. We were so relaxed when we left early hours the next morning knowing Nickel was going to be so well looked after. Thank you
