About this sitter

Hello! We are Taylor and Stephen, two digital nomads who love showering our furry, feathery, scaly, hairy friends with love.

We are both working remotely and looking for places to have local experiences while traveling. We love animals and work a lot, so house sitting gives us an opportunity to care for others as well as ourselves!

We both have experience caring for animals and homes with respectful stewardship. We do not smoke or do drugs and we rarely drink. We know you’re choosing to bring us into your space, and consider it both an honor and a privilege.

Why they want to house sit

We enjoy traveling and seeing homes, properties, and farms. We’ve stayed with many people across the US using Harvest Hosts and other sites - but this is our first time using MindMyHouse.

Their experience

Taylor worked on a value-added dairy farm for seven years, and has experience farm sitting as well as house sitting. She has experience with a variety of animals, including cows, pigs, horses, dogs, cats, chickens, and fish. She’s administered medicines to animals, in pill, shot, and IV form. She has worked on two vegetable farms, a native plant nursery, and a gardening center. And she remembers to water the plants and get the mail!

Stephen has trained his own dogs in the past and has experience caring for dogs, cats, chickens, pigs, reptiles, rabbits, and birds. He has also worked on a small university farm and has cared for his own garden. So many tomatoes. He lived for two years in a vintage 1969 Safari Airstream where he learned the value of caring for living spaces. He now works fully remotely as a business consultant to help farmers grow their businesses with confidence.

What can they bring to the assignment

We pride ourselves on being excellent communicators. We know that leaving your pet and/or home in the care of a stranger can be daunting, so we make sure to put in the extra effort to make our hosts feel comfortable. Happy to have check-in calls throughout your time away to ensure everything is going well; Taylor will probably inundate you with photos of your pets anyways.
