Caring and responsible remote working globetrotter - love animals!

About this sitter

I am Mayu, recently I have found my way to work remotely in the IT sector - which I love as it challenges me to keep learning on a daily basis and fulfills my desire to stay curious and being able to wander.

Restless mind, I have plenty of interests and I consider myself handy and resourceful. I have lived independently and off the beaten path, growing my garden and vegetables and doing all kinds of construction and manual works. I am into healthy and sustainable lifestyle, non-smoker and vegetarian.

I enjoy tranquility, nature, reading, yoga, biking, hikes, outdoor sports and country side living. And of course, I love animals and spending time with them. I live with a rescued dog and two foster cats I adore - we are 5 in our country house so they are taken good care of while I am away ;)

Why they want to house sit

I love getting to know different places around the world, enjoying some personal time for concentrating in my projects and breaking up the routine.

House sitting for longer periods makes more sense to me if I am going to travel far distances, and I also believe it is a way of not contributing to the touristification of places while promoting trust-based exchange relationships.

Their experience

I am new in this site, but experienced in taking care of someone else's place, project and dear animals- and building carefully a new relation with them!

I share house with them but have also dog and cat sited several times my friends' companions too, and we take care of my neighbor's chicken when he is away.

I have been traveling with Workaway and Couchsurfing altruistic style for many years, which led me to farm routines and animal care and garden tending, and to longer stays in exchange for taking care of the house and volunteering/working seasonally abroad.
