Hi! My name is Sherry, and I'm a 56-year-old American who has a passion for animals, travel, the arts, and lifelong learning. I'd love it if you'd consider me for your house and pet sitting needs because it would give me a chance to experience a home away from home while also bonding with a furry, feathered, or finned friend.

I am interested in house sitting because I believe it's an excellent opportunity to make new human and animal friends, experience different locations and cultures, and be of service to those who need my help.

Their experience

I am a very experienced pet and house sitter who grew up with many beloved animals as a child, including cats and kittens, dogs, goldfish, a horse, and a mouse that was given to me when I was 8 years old and distraught to see it in a snake's enclosure, unaware it was about to become the snake's next meal. I also lived with a very special kitty for 13 years and nursed him in his last days. Over the years, I have looked after many friends' and neighbors' dogs, cats, horses, chickens, fish and homes while they were away on vacation, too many times to count, actually. I also worked for one summer as an intake specialist at a hospital and rehabilitation center for injured wildlife. I am comfortable taking care of sick pets and can give them medication if needed. I am that person who pulls her car over on the side of the road to move a turtle out of the middle of it, and I have given my best efforts to save birds, squirrels, and even a snake or two along the way.
