About this sitter

Being retired, single and well experienced in animal care, I decided to offer my services as a house and pet sitter, to home owners who need someone responsible, and trustworthy. I am experienced, reliable, clean and I understand how important it is for home owners to have peace of mind, when they leave everything they love, in the hands of a stranger. In the past, I have done some pet and house sitting in France and in the Washington DC area, and this is what I am now doing, in Oregon. I serve Portland and surrounding areas, including south of washington state. For long assignments I am willing to travel. I have excellent references, of care and character. Because I have just subscribed to this website, I do not have references on mindmyhouse, yet. I will be happy to forward the ones I have from my past assignments. You will always find your house how you left it, I have been a home and business owner, so yes, I am responsible and respectful of other people's things. I have owned poodles for over 40 years and owned horses for 20 years. Animal's well being is a top priority for me. I do not let pets alone and spend all the assignment with them, except, If I have to go grocery shopping. I have done poodle rescues, all the pets you see on the pictures are dogs I rescued. As an ex florist, I will have no problem taking care of your plants, also my father was an horticulturist. I am bilingual french/english.

Why they want to house sit

Because I understand that for home and pet owners they need to have someone trustworthy, experienced, clean and reliable, and because I am single and retired, I can offer this precious service, I also do it to complement my retirement.

Their experience

Yes I am well experienced. I can give medication to pets, I owned poodles for over 40 years and owned saddlebred horses for 20 years. I also worked on a sheep farm for a year while in France. Most dogs need exercise to get their energy out.

What can they bring to the assignment

Trust, companionship and excellent care to animals while their owners are away. I always keep in touch with the owner, with texts and videos. If an animal get sick I will take it to the owner's vet, but thanks goodness this has never happened. When walking dogs, I will not let small breeds near large dogs and I will let them loose only in a dog park.. Otherwise dogs will always be on a leash while outside the home except, if it is safe to let them loose and with the owner's permission.
