Good with pets! And people!

About this sitter

We are a middle-aged couple (40ish) that enjoys traveling, cooking (and eating!), learning new things, meeting new people, and seeing the world through new eyes. We're also big animal lovers!

In regards to what we are hoping for in a house sit, open and honest communication is essential! We have found that appreciation from all parties is also important. We are grateful for being able to make new furry friends and we would like to pet sit for folks who appreciate the time and care we put into looking after their pets and their home. Lastly, we would like to be able to see and experience the area we will be visiting as well.

Why they want to house sit

We lost our sweet Penelope a few years ago - she was almost 15, so she had a good, long life. But we miss her dearly. We have been enjoying looking after other people's animals until we are ready for our next pet. And we promise to treat your beloved pet(s) with the same love and care that we offered Penelope.

Their experience

We have many years of experience with pet sitting, plus having our own pets. We are comfortable with tasks such as - distributing medications, dog walking, practice with training, cuddling, etc. We have looked after dogs, cats, fish, guinea pigs, hamsters, rabbits, chickens - and other birds (including a rooster), goats, a pony, a pig, and sheep. We have also used other pet sitting sites as well, such as Trusted Housesitters and Rover. Thus, we would happily share our reviews from those other sites.

What can they bring to the assignment

We bring experience, integrity, adaptability, enjoyment of travel, and a genuine love of animals. You can trust that your animal companion(s) will be well taken care of and are in capable and loving hands. Fortunately, at this point in life, we are able to work remotely - which provides us with the flexibility needed to do this. Pet sitting is the perfect match for our lives at this time.
