About this sitter

Hi, I’m Paul and my partner Karen has had many wonderful years caring for each of our own pets. From her childhood best-friend Bootsie, a beautiful nearly human Old English sheepdog to her last, Buddy, a wonderful mixed Labrador-Collie-Shepherd who loved learning new things. Paul has had many pets his entire life, dogs, cats. Rodents, reptiles, birds, have all been part of his life. His parrot Rasta bird has been with him since he was hatched forty eight years ago. We have an active profile on Trusted Housesitters and many external references. We are both non smokers. Paul is a retired telephone technician/ life long artist. We are experienced in giving medications to animals as well. Karen has trained and fostered hard to handle pets even Jamaille, a 2.5 year old super sweet but incredibly strong pit bull, who arrived without leash manners and was way to strong to handle, He left here about 6 months later as 'the ambassador' to the breed with perfect leash skills. We have each maintained are own homes and cared for others' for many years.

Why they want to house sit

We love traveling and love animals. We love taking care of animals while we travel, they make the best companions and it gives us a true sense of home. We can’t think of a better way to combine these two loves than to watch over the homes and pets of our clients.

Their experience

We have loved, walked and cared for many animals over the years with joy and affection including "rescue" pets with medical issues, dogs, cats, reptiles, tropical fish, parrots and other birds, rabbits, cows, horses and and even a pig.

We have experience taking care of homes and gardens, including pools, hot tub maintenance, cutting grass, shoveling snow, collecting mail, and routine home maintenance. Paul has extensive experience in construction as well.
