About this sitter
We are a recently retired couple, (63 years old) currently living in Dorset, UK.
Before retiring I worked as an Office Manager. Chris was/is an artist and writer, who also taught adults with learning difficulties. Since retiring we undertook some voluntary work in a homeless shelter. Our work required us to be dbs checked.
We are fit and able. Chris speaks fluent French and Spanish and has also had dogs most of his life, We have also dog sat in the UK.
We are non smokers

We completed a 3 month house sitting job in Andalucía, last summer, which was a wonderful experience. Then a month in the Dordogne over Christmas.

We couldn’t be happier with Claire and Chris as house sitters! During our absence, they not only took excellent care of our home but also looked after our cats, especially Fritz, with great love and attention. From the very beginning, Claire and Chris impressed us with their friendly and open nature. They quickly connected with the locals and blended wonderfully into the community. Chris even took care of minor repairs around the house, which was a big help to us. The plants were also beautifully maintained – you could really see how dedicated they were in supporting us. When we returned, the house was in perfect condition – clean, tidy, and just as we had left it. We honestly wished Claire and Chris could have stayed longer!!!
