About this sitter
I am a goofy (please note that the selfies where I look [let's just say] funny are photos I sent actual hosts as updates, I think having fun is an important part of life and I try to live by that as I sit) proud auntie of three adorable children who hung up the tourism boots when they were born and got back to freelancing full-time. Last year I decided to try combining my love for animals with my passion for travelling and the flexibility that comes with being self-employed, and I truly fell in love with the whole concept of being entrusted with both your home and your loved pets.

Why they want to house sit
This way I get my fix of travel, exposure to another culture/language, time alone to meditate, and hopefully cuddles and love from your furry babies if you have any!
Their experience
I have been sitting for a little over a year and a half so far, have done a total of 13 three-to-seven-week-long sits (5 of them for recurrent pawrents), taking care of a total of 8 dogs and 18 cats. I've sat in Portugal, Spain and Italy (Sicily) so far.
Apart from that I've been surrounded by animals my whole life (dogs, parrots and cats). I started doing this when my 13-year-old labrador passed away.
I have plenty of experience administering oral medication and taking care of dogs with leishmaniasis, hip dysplasia, cataracts, incontinence, heart medication. To ensure they get the best care I do not sit more than 3 canines.
PS: so far I have sat thanks to posts on certain Facebook groups. Hosts have left me their testimonials on Rover. I'll be happy to forward them to you if you can't access said site.
What can they bring to the assignment
Being a digital nomad and freelancer means not only that I will be working remotely from your home, but my working schedule will entirely revolve around your pets timetable and needs. I work when I am not walking them or caring for them :)

Nuestra experiencia junto a Cara ha sido maravillosa mucho antes de que llegue a nuestra casa. Hicimos una videollamada junto a mi compañero Marcos e inmediatamente nos transmitió confianza y tranquilidad. Está es la primera vez que utilizamos la modalidad de “pet sitting” para el cuidado de nuestra perrita y haber encontrado a Cara ha sido el cielo! Nos envió constantemente noticias de Killa, pasearon juntas todos los días y le ha tenido mucha paciencia y amor para su integración. The ideal petsitter
Cara has been the ideal petsitter! Very flexible with arrival/departure and great communication before and during the sit. She really spoiled our dogs, I think they were sad that we came back 😂 the house kept in the same state as it was left in, so all in al a great experience!

Cara es amante de los animales, no hay duda, nos reconocemos entre los que lo sentimos. La disposición hacia ellos, observación para entenderle y que Cleo, mi gata azul europea de 11 años, la pueda percibir como amiga, pacífica y confiable...eso no se paga. I could not be happier
I could not be happier with the care that Cara provided for my 4 cats whilst I was travelling for 3 weeks. So much so I have booked her for my next trip! We overlapped on my return and I could see in person how much she loved them. I was updated with news and pictures of them. Your pets and home will be in safe hands with Cara.
