Experienced Animal and House Sitting Couple. Active Retirees

About this sitter

We are very active retirees and we are in Europe (mostly France and Spain) for the next 12 months. We are looking for different experiences and chances to practise our French while caring for homes and animals. We are keen for a non-city experience and a place where we can take long walks and runs especially with dogs. Our son lives in Madrid.

Why they want to house sit

This offers us an embedded experience where we can get a few for the place and the people. We have had very positive experiences of France in the past but it hasn't been as easy to get into the country as we would like.

Their experience

Yes. We have sat homes in Australia with cats and dogs. Some have been old and feeble but our most recent sit was with two very energetic labradoodles which was great fun. I have always been a cat owner and we have had dogs in the past.

What can they bring to the assignment

I am reliable. I have worked with difficult animals who need clear lines drawn while still needing loads of attention and care. We neither drink alcohol nor do we smoke. We are keen on staying fit and healthy. I can care for gardens where necessary. I am happy to take care of any special needs of the animals. We are non smokers and non drinkers
