About this sitter
We are a semi-retired couple who have been traveling full time since 2017. We have done housesits all over the world.
We are quiet, non-smokers who love all animals. We currently have homes in Colorado and Bali. We love the outdoors and walking and hiking with dogs. We also love diving, skiing, sailing, reading and watching movies.
I grew up with dogs, cats, bunnies, hamsters, birds, fish, ponies and goats! We love them all and housesitting allows us to reconnect with furry friends. We also know how important your home is and we treat it with the utmost respect.
Why they want to house sit
Because we travel so much, we see housesitting as a way to slow down and be home bodies. We don't come to your home for a holiday, we come to take care of your furry family and your home.
We like to stay close to the home and spend time with the animals. The hardest part is that we become very attached and its hard to leave :)
Their experience
We have been housesitting through Mind My House since 2017. Then from 2020 to 2023 we did many direct housesits through friends, family and word of mouth. Our "assignments" were in Sri Lanka, Panama, France, Spain, Australia, Florida, Malaysia, Colorado, New York, and England.
What can they bring to the assignment
Perhaps the most important benefit to having us mind your home and pets is peace of mind while you are away. We will treat your home as if it were ours and your pets as if they were our family too. Besides the care we can bring we also bring with it the experience of having done this many times before and having travelled the globe for the last seven years we can overcome most obstacles and challenges that may come up from time to time. We've owned homes in Florida and Bali so we are more than capable of looking after swimming pools and understand the challenges of living in a tropical climate. We've also owned a cabin in the mountains of Colorado which can also bring a whole different set of challenges with altitude and extreme weather. THE BEST OF THE BEST!
From the moment we met Simon and Michelle, we just knew our home and animals would be in the most sensible, loving and reliable hands! We have quite a menagerie of geese, chicken, dogs, cats and alpacas but both Simon and Michelle were thrilled by the opportunity to care for them and were completely undaunted by the feeding routine and other routines so important to the day-to-day upkeep of a small hobby farm. Simon and Michelle are a delightful couple. Our neighbours and friends quickly became their friends and within a week they were part of the community. Michelle wrote wonderful and funny regular updates of our animals’ antics and it was so lovely to enjoy them through her eyes. When we returned home it was transparent that Simon and Michelle had thoroughly taken care of our home and bunch of mad cap creatures – who appeared not to have missed us at all! ???? Our neighbours all commented on how thoughtful and lovely Simon and Michelle were and some firm friendships were formed. Not only will we welcome Simon and Michelle back, but there’s a group of people in this community who look forward to their return in the future.

Friendly and helpful House and Petsitters
Simon and Michelle are a lovely couple, they came to us in September 2018 for just over 2 weeks to look after our house, our dog Merlot and cat Shiraz. We met them before and enjoyed a meal together and had plenty of time to hand over the animals and the house. Whilst we were away they were brilliant at keeping us informed and sent lots of photos of the animals and house. When we returned Simon had prepared a beautiful meal for us, which was much appreciated. We would not hesitate to recommend them to others and we hope they come back to see us on their future travels. We wish them well in the future.

Excellent 5* petsitters
Simon and Michelle looked after my house in Spain for five weeks. They kept on regular contact with messages and photos. They integrated well into the village (and now know the village and residents better than I do. My two Labradors love them and they even gained the trust of my semi feral cats. The house was better than when i left it. I would highly recommend these two for any sits.

These guys are the best!
Simon and Michelle spent 3 weeks at our house in El Valle, Panama caring for our cat and our rescued street dog. They did a phenomenal job, almost too good - our dog was depressed when they left! They were great about staying in contact and sending pictures of the animals. They integrated into our little local community and got to know our friends, who all loved them. They picked us up from the airport (2 hours away!) upon our return and even left us a pot of homemade soup. If you can get these 2 to house-sit for you, grab them!
