About this sitter

I am a 62 year old, with a 20 year old daughter with Down syndrome. We try to engage in different activities every summer; some cultural and some just plain goofy. We have traveled quite a bit together and enjoy each others company. I usually go west, because of where I moved here from. This year I thought we would go southeast, and spend quality time with different family members and enjoy the outdoors. In the past, I have traveled with my dog a lot. Now that we have no pet, I thought we could give our love and attention to another pet. I have lived in and watched other dogs, birds and hamsters! We prefer dogs over all!

Why they want to house sit

Truthfully, just thought it would be peaceful. Now that we have no animals, I thought it would be a great experience, exploring another part of the country, and perhaps getting to know some relatives better, without staying with them. I lived in the mountains of Colorado for 20 years after college and now would love to spend time in the Smokies.

Their experience

I have never applied for this type of assignment, but by word of mouth, I have watched 2 huge dogs every May, while my clients went to Germany. There, I kept up with the yard, gardening, plants, dog walking, and then some. I always leave houses cleaner than the first time I walk into them.
