About this sitter
are a married couple, Séan and Taffy and we have had an off grid farm in Southern Spain for 19 years.
We have sold now and are enjoying more time for ourselves as well as travelling.
Séan is a retired engineer who has turned his hand to all jobs on the farm.
Taffy worked all her life with horses and on farms and now is happy to ride around the Spanish countryside.
We don’t mind living on Solar we need good internet a comfortable home with good access.
We have completed 3 house sits since September ‘23, and are on our 4th one due to finish end of April.

Why they want to house sit
We have been fortunate to have had the most wonderful sitters from all over the world and have made so many friends through this site that we would like to try it for ourselves.
ADVENTURE BEFORE DEMENTIA!
We do have two wonderful Labradors who are well trained sociable, not sofa-surfers and used to cats in their home.
We spend summers in the UK where we have a house, but are looking for opportunities roughly September-May. We have our own car.
We would like longer sits but are happy to consider anything

Séan is a hands on problem solver and a wise head.
Taffy is an experienced horse owner who loves tractor driving and general animal lover. Taffy is also a keen walker who loves exploring.
Lifelong dog and cat owners and experienced with farm animals, (Taffy is an experienced hand milker of cows!)

We are also communicators and with the ease of WhatsApp/Internet are happy to ask questions and keep in touch.

Farm house Galicia. 17 day house sit in a farm house set in a rural village. Horses, dogs, cats and chickens.
Trustworthy, proactive, full of energy, practical and animal loving. Just a few of the words we can use to describe Taffy and Sean. Our house, land and animals were left in the capable hands of this beautiful 'hands on' couple. Their kindness is contagious. We spent 2 days introducing Taffy and Sean to the daily routine, then we left for our 2 week holiday assured that our home and animals were left in good hands. Sean demonstrated superb knowledge of machinery and practicalities of living in a rural setting. Taffy has a mountain of equine experience and I learnt a lot from her just in the 2 days we spent together. Their 2 dogs are very well behaved, interacting with ease with our dogs and cats. Taffy kept in touch while we were on holiday as requested and we received 'pet photo' updates which for me was a reassuring gesture. We spend the final day of their house sit together, debriefing and generally thanking them profusely for their generosity and outstanding commitment towards the welfare of our animals. These guys are amazing and we can 100% recommend Taffy and Sean as house sitters. I hope they have a gap in their calendar to visit us again.

With Gratitude
Having Taffy and Sean holding the reins while we were away was such a relief. Their knowledge of life in the off grid campo is extensive with Sean being Mr Electric and Plumber! They are very conscientious and good communicators.
