About this sitter
Hi, we're Jesse and Kate, two married professionals and avid animal lovers travelling and working remotely from around the world. We've been pet parents for most of our lives and have been house and pet sitting on-and-off since 2014, mostly in the UK but also across Europe.
We are currently traveling in Southern Europe but spend at least a few months every year in the UK. In 2024 and early 2025, we'll also be spending several months in the U.S., primarily in the Pacific Northwest. We hope to housesit in the U.S. and the U.K./Europe in 2024/2025 and would love to sit further afield in the future.
We're equally happy to consider sits in Newquay or Seattle as in Santiago, Chile or Osaka, Japan. If you think we could be a great fit for you, please don't hesitate to reach out!
Why they want to house sit
In the past few years we've both chosen to change our career paths to work for purpose-driven companies. For this reason, we tend to earn below average salaries despite working full-time. We both love animals and travel, so house sitting is a great way for us to see the world and care for animals on a tight budget. We feel lucky to get to meet lovely new people and animals wherever we go!

Jesse and I each have more than 10 years of housesitting experience. In the past five years, I (Kate) have completed more than 30 in the United States, Europe and Turkiye.

It was a great pleasure to have Kate house-and-petsitting for me. My beloved dog Lucie and my cat Lili immediately responded well to her and that was extremely reassuring. Kate and I corresponded regularly both before her arrival and while I was away, and she sent me many pictures of my pets looking very comfortable and loved. Kate also went out of her way to accommodate me when I had visa problems and was not able to return to my house on the agreed date. Everything was left perfectly neat and tidy. I would love to have Kate back at any time in the future and would highly recommend her as a pet/house sitter.

Kate
Kate looked after our two cats for three weeks in February 2019. One of the cats required daily medication in his food, and she was happy to take on this 'complication'. We received photos of the cats (via WhatsApp) looking happy and relaxed during our vacation, which confirmed that they were in good hands. When we arrived home they were happy to see us but much more relaxed than when we have had to leave them in a cattery. Kate 'lives out of her luggage' and made no demands on us for storage space, which makes things easy. She left the house spotlessly clean, and it would have been difficult to tell that anyone had been there since we left, other than our outdoor recycling bin being appropriately stocked! All-in-all, very highly recommended.

Kate Daniel
Kate Daniel looked after our house and pets from the fourteenth to the eighteenth of November 2018. She made good arrangements and communicated well with us prior to the house sitting. When we were away she kept in contact with us to give updates re the pets and ask how we were enjoying our holiday. On our return everything was as we had left it. Kate had been a good friend to our pets and had left the house spotless. Kate stayed with us for one night before we left on holiday. She was friendly and not demanding in any way. We felt confident in her ability to look after our home and be trusted with our animals. Our dog, which is a bit nervous with new people, immediately engaged with Kate. We would use Kate again as a Housesitter and recommend her unreservedly.
