About this sitter

Hi there! We are Todd and Jo, reliable and experienced house sitters here in Denver, Colorado. If you're in need of trustworthy individuals to take care of your home and/or pets while you are away we would love to be considered.

We are a couple in our early 60s, both CU grads, who have recently returned home to CO after lots of adventure elsewhere. While the days of marathons and triathalons are in the past, we love long and short rambles in the great outdoors, especially in gorgeous CO. We love having a dog or two in step with us. Because of our grand dog, we would like to think we know the best dog parks and pup cup locations in the Denver metro.

We are animal lovers to our core. We lost our 16-yr-old Gordon Setter recently and need a little time before we're ready to adopt again, so we would love to share some of our love with your furry family members. We consider the trust of your home and pets to us an honor that we will endeavor to earn and keep.

We're also crazy about birds and would gladly keep your feeders and birdbaths filled. If you have chickens or ducks that need tending - we're there for you.

Our daily rate is $150, but we can negotiate according to what services will be required.

Why they want to house sit

We love animals and want to see them well taken care of while their families are away. We know we provide an important service and get great fulfillment in our work. It also allows us a flexible second income. We meet a variety of interesting people and pets.

Their experience

We have loads of experience, both with our own homes and pets and with house/pet sitting for others. We have been married for nearly 38 years and our first house/pet sit was shortly after we married while we were waiting to close on our first home. It lasted a full month and worked great for both us and the clients.

What can they bring to the assignment

We bring a genuine love and compassion for animals and an understanding that they are family.
We also bring to the table, decades of home owner experience. We can recognize home issues and have them addressed in a timely manner.
We love all things green and bring lots of knowledge of plant care with us. We always have a variety of plants, shrubs and trees inside and outside our home. We've done gardening large and small, including fruit trees.
Todd genuinely enjoys shoveling snow. He finds it a great workout, so in the winter months we can keep your walks and drive cleared.
