About this sitter

Due to my shift work, I cannot be fair to a dog, especially leaving it for many hours without company. I would match my time off with a former neighbour who has sadly moved to Greece. I walked their dog Stella and took her on holiday to Wales for a few weeks while they were abroad or sailing on their yacht.

Why they want to house sit

I want to escape the London rat race and relax with a friendly dog or dogs near a beach, if possible, running up and down it as I did with Stella at Broadhaven, or woodland walks, a cafe spot to chat with each other about the weather and doggy matters LOL.

I am available on these dates, and these can be modified.

22 to 30 April, 20 to 28 May, 17 to 25 June, 15 to 23 July, 12 to 20 August, 9 to 17 September, 7 to 15 October, 4 to 12 November, 2 to 10 December.

Their experience

Apart from walking Stella over those years, not much as my work again gets in the way of doing much.

As I work shifts, it means I have compressed days and more days off than the weekend that Monday to Friday workers have. For example, for two days' leave, I can be off from Monday to the following Tuesday and back to work on Wednesday, so for someone wanting a week away and we match, it fits well for us both. I have put all those dates on my availability list.

For others who might want longer periods, do get in touch; I might be able to help. I have plenty of holidays (leave) and, as I said, compressed hours, meaning more rest days.

What can they bring to the assignment

I enjoy the company of dogs and cats, having lived with cats for 20 years and seeing them cross over many times. My first dog as a child was called Precious Might Dime of Rosary, so shouting Precious for many years means no name is too silly. He was a chihuahua.
