Adventurous pet loving couple looking to explore more of our beautiful countries

About this sitter

We are Dan (31) and Flo (29), a Welsh and French couple currently living close to Marlhes.
Both of us have grown up with family pets all of our lives. Flo is defnitiely more of a dog person, having 3 rescue dogs back home of varying sizes, along with the family cat and numerous chickens. Flo also has good experience caring for the 3 horses her family previously owned.
Whereas, Dan is the cat guy having had 2 in Wales, but also a family dog previously.
We are certainly both outdoors people, with a love of hiking, camping and general adventuring.
This is what brought us together as we first met in New Zealand in 2022 whilst doing a Working Holiday Visa there. We spent almost a year making our way around the entirety of NZ, doing some house sitting along the way.
We have since returned to Europe, and starting our new adventure here, this currently involves spending some time between both the UK and France.
Please be assured that we are both very tidy, considerate and respectful people. Your pets and your home shall be treated as though they were our own.

Why they want to house sit

Not only do we have a deep rooted love of animals, we are both also highly adventurous and love discovering new areas. We currently wish to spend more time exploring France and the UK together, and feel that house sitting is a perfect way to do this, thanks to our house sitting experience together in New Zealand.

Their experience

Both of us have grown up with a variety of pets throughout our lives. Flo's family home has always been a home to a wide variety of animals - and therefore she has vast experiencing caring for dogs, cats, horses and chickens. Flo is no stranger to helping her parents in their large vegetable garden, and enjoys getting her hands dirty.
Dan had a family dog at a young age. Since then has had 2 pet cats of his own, along with a small vegetable patch and numerous plants in his own garden.
In New Zealand, we were fortunate enough to house sit on 2 separate occasions. The first being a 3 week house sit for a very friendly lady, with whom we have maintained contact. She had a young cat and 2 dogs, 1 of whom was an elderly Jack Russell requiring very specific care. We loved doing this together, and it has inspried us to continue house sitting in the future.
The second house sit together in NZ was a week long stay caring for a family's pet rabbit. Both of these sits were through an NZ specific website, where our reviews are available to read. We have copied these reviews over to TrustedHouseSitters.
