Mature, reliable Aussie/Kiwi couple looking to explore the UK and beyond available for house sitting

About this sitter

We are an adventurous, travel loving, mature couple looking to house sit our way around England and Scotland in August 2024. We are extremely reliable and house-proud people, that would look after your house as if it were our own. We are travelling from New Zealand to Europe for five months and intend to spend the month of August travelling the southern counties of England and then up to Scotland in later August to do the whiskey trail and visit relatives.

We would love to house sit your house and as I mentioned we are responsible, reliable people that have spent the past eight years sailing in the Mediterranean, this year we are looking for some land-based adventures! We have two homes here in New Zealand one in Christchurch and one up in the Marlborough Sounds that we have house swapped in the past.

My husband Gavin is 66 and I am 56, Gavin is an engineer and loves his sport especially rugby, he is very practical and loves to fix things! I am retired digital producer, I love to cook, garden and paint especially water colours. We have one daughter and two grandchildren here in NZ.

Why they want to house sit

We love to house sit because it means you get an insight into a way of life and the culture of the place that you're staying. We also love being at home and in homes that are well loved.

Their experience

Yes we have plenty of experience, we have house swapped both our homes here in NZ (and Australia) and stayed in house swaps overseas before.

What can they bring to the assignment

We bring a raft of skills including an avid gardener and cook (me) and a very handy handy man! If you have pets we love cats and dogs and will be very happy to look after any pets that you have also. We are very practical people, well Gavin is I'm more the creative one! We are very houseproud and like to keep our homes neat and tidy and maintained, so we would do the same for yours.
