About this sitter

We are an active, retired, fully vaccinated, non-smoking, and responsible couple from the Dallas, Texas area. We are a bit over a year into house-sitting, but we ARE long-time homeowners - - we’re well-versed in all the pleasures, trials and tribulations that pet and home ownership brings. We know from personal experience that having capable and caring sitters makes leaving home and pets a lot easier.   Because we enjoy animals, meeting new people, exploring new places and being of service, house sitting is our perfect “retirement career”.

We are essentially homebodies (who love to travel), preferring to stay home in the evenings, cook our own meals and snuggle up with a movie, a book and a furry friend. We spend a lot of time on our writing, photography and videography projects, which equates to a lot of time at ‘home’ when we’re not enjoying long walks with a furry friend or two.

Why they want to house sit

We are experienced and financially secure travelers, not broke tourists dashing from site to site. We prefer ‘slow travel’ - - allowing us to get to actually KNOW new places; the food, the culture, cuisines and local markets wherever we happen to be. While we dooo accept short sits, we greatly prefer longer periods in one place.

Their experience

We are down to earth, practical, adaptable and culturally savvy - - we have visited over a dozen countries - - and hold temporary residence in Mexico. (We speak passable Mexican Spanish.)

While we are still fairly new to house-sitting, we’re definitely NOT new to the challenge of caring for a home and for pets. Choosing us will let you sleep like a baby, knowing your home and pets are cared for, loved and protected.

60+ years of life experience.
We've now been full time sitters for a bit over a year, since retirement in the Spring of 2024. We've had multiple sits in the US, Canada, Baja California, and San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. We've had nothing but 5 star reviews with all of our sits, reassuring home and pet owners that we will take care of your pets and home as if they're ours.

We're also non smoking, have drivers licenses, are dog lovers, cat lovers, gardeners, sailors, enjoy fishing, and have had a police check and a background check.
