About this sitter

At the age of 64 I’m not the tourist type. Being gone for more than an hour from my charges worries me. I enjoy different styles of houses and locations. Before Covid I spent six months in the USA sitting and six months in the U.K. and Ireland. The centuries old houses in those countries fascinate me. Of course, WiFi is needed. And—this may sound strange—I love a claw foot tub.

Why they want to house sit

Going places and trying new things are important to me. But, it is the pets that I really enjoy hanging with. When you earn the trust of an animal it’s a great feeling. It’s especially nice when I can take them with me. When I arrive at yet another location the first thing I do in investigate pet friendly businesses

Their experience

For many, many, many years I’ve been house and pet sitting. I’m 64 and I started when I was 13. That’s a lot of sits - hundreds of pets, hundreds of houses. Let’s see . . . Dogs, cats, parrots, alpacas, horses/ponies, cattle, all kinds of farm foul. There well may be more, but it’s not coming to me right now. Entrusted with a garden cottage to an estate and mansion.

What can they bring to the assignment

Few sitters can bring the years of experience that I do. In my years of sitting I’ve administered medication, orally and injected. There have been puppies, kittens, elderly critters, tripods, blind, deaf, and incontinent babies.
