About this sitter

I am in my 70s. I love all animals , cats especially., I have had my own cats all my life , most of them were rescued. I have also nearly always had dogs , one or two who have travelled with me on holidays and during my work judging at horse trials and events of one kind or another. I am well educated and I was married for 15 years , then had a partner in Lanzarote who was unfortunate to be a Lloyd's name like many lost almost everything , which contributed to a heart attack. My life changed after that but I managed to stay afloat and continued to work and help people with their pets and property.

Why they want to house sit

I like to travel . I have my own house in England , I have been an estate manager looking after various properties, some in the uk and some in Spain and France , and some with pools , heated and unheated so I can clean and look after them. . and I enjoy the responsibility of it. I like to be needed and useful and I am used to responsibilty of property for absent owners.

Their experience

Yes. Horses all my life . Some veterinary care . Pool care , gardening and housekeeping in general , cats and dogs , I enjoy looking after gardens and land and I have experienced with some large houses of up to eight bedrooms , also with B n B guests. My parents owned a large country house hotel so it was all hands to the pump, as they say. Every job needed to be done,.I am a BHS qualified riding instructor and British Dressage registered dressage judge for 30 years. I teach riding in private lessons if asked.

What can they bring to the assignment

Some French and Spanish spoken , .Responsible and mature ability to deal with emergency situations. With animals or property, As above , I think that I can bring a lot to an assignment. I like to think that the owners will be confident and happy to leave me in charge and return to a perfect place with no worries at all. I am a good communicator and I'm able to deal with most situations , keep the owners informed and stick to the rules set by the house owners , especially where animals or pets are there .
